Auto Mount Multimedia shared folder as local folder without root:

    why need this script?

    1. media wrapper not work with shared folder with password: "(please note if you use XBMC/KODI to play files from SMB network, the SMB network should have no User ID and Password)".
    2. lot of android app ( video o audio player) work only with local file (internal store , Sdcard, usb ecc ) , usually app is development for phone or tablet not for box.
    3. can be use other media center instead KODI like: Mizuu or mvideoplayer....
    4. i ask himedia tools/app like this .... waiting answer ...without hope

The script is for expert people ,but i try to increase this guide for beginner user.
it's not hard work it's must do only one time every flash ,but it must do in right way.

    Test:

    Himedia Q5 3D4k: work tested.

    Himedia M3: need feedback
    Himedia Q10 3D4k: need feedback

    step 0:
    - Backup kodi (db, fan art ,ecc)
If there is some problem, can be fix easy with flash last firmware.

    step 1 :
    - download Notepad++ (Your text editor must support UNIX line ends (LF only, not CR + LF = CRLF). Do NOT use Windows Notepad as it only creates Windows line ends (CRLF).)
    - install Notepad++

    Step 2:
    - downoad zip drive.google.com/open?id=0Bx63o79bMC7lR2JHYS12Yk0tWVk
    - unzip Auto_Mount_Multimedia.rar

    Step 3:
edit file "install-recovery.sh" ONLY with Notepad++ on windows PC
    - make sure you click on "Edit-->EOL Conversion-->UNIX/OSX Format" like in this picture.

    Replace:
XXXX with folder name you want, Es: Film , NAS1 ecc (not use name like video audio ecc )
YYY.YYY.YYY.YYY ip adress of your nas/sever, Es 10.0.0.2, 192.168.0.2 ecc
ZZZZ with shared name folder from your nas,ES: share , video ecc
AAAA with user name, Es: admin
    BBBB with password, Es: 1234

    Attention command:
    "mount -t cifs -o user="AAAA",password="BBBB",iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,sec=ntlm,cache=loose,serverino,uid=1001,forceuid,gid=1001,forcegid //YYY.YYY.YYY.YYY/ZZZZ /mnt/sdcard/XXXX"

    it's only one line !

    Step 3b:
    if not work try this

Always a one blank space to the end of the line endings.
And a one blank space as the last line.
    like this:
Tool:Auto Mount Multimedia shared folder without root (HImedia Q5 3D4k )

    IMPORTANT:

    - Not delete "sleep" ,Q5 boot on 40 second +/-, mount command must be wait lan or wifi connection is active, if there is some problem change to 90 .
    - Not delete "cache=loose" or playback have a lot of stutter.

    Step 4:
    - run file RUN_ME.bat, batch script copy file ad reboot Q5
    - after q5 rebbot and after 60 second you see new local folder "mounted" with lan shared folder

    FINISH!
Now every time you power-on Q5 you shared folder from your nas like local.
Now kodi can open files without problem

    kodi setting
open kodi add folder with "External storage" you found new folder
    .....
    play movie
    .....
    play movie
    ......
    ......

if not work try part 2 fix trouble problems:

Warning not DELETE local folder XXXX or loss all your file on net share folder!

    :D

    I try it.
Sorry, as a beginner, no idea where is this file "install-recovery.sh" at the Himedia Q5-4K3D?
and, what do you mean with:
    Step 3:
    - run file RUN_ME.bat...?
    - batch script copy file ad ...?

    I have four share folder.
How must I enter this in the "install-recovery.sh"?

    Thank you

you must enter 4 entry like this:

    Quellcode

    1. #!/system/bin/sh
    2. sleep 60;
    3. mkdir -p /sdcard/nas1
    4. mount -t cifs -o user="guest",iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,cache=loose //192.168.0.1/share /mnt/sdcard/nas1
    5. mkdir -p /sdcard/nas2
    6. mount -t cifs -o user="user1",password="1234",iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,sec=ntlm,cache=loose,serverino,uid=1001,forceuid,gid=1001,forcegid //192.168.0.2/share /mnt/sdcard/nas2
    7. mkdir -p /sdcard/nas3
    8. mount -t cifs -o user="user2",password="1234",iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,sec=ntlm,cache=loose,serverino,uid=1001,forceuid,gid=1001,forcegid //192.168.0.3/share /mnt/sdcard/nas3
    9. mkdir -p /sdcard/nas4
    10. mount -t cifs -o user="user3",password="1234",iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,sec=ntlm,cache=loose,serverino,uid=1001,forceuid,gid=1001,forcegid //192.168.0.4/share /mnt/sdcard/nas4

first is share folder without password, if you have problem increase sleep to 90.
  • @looun

thank you, share folder is clear. :)

"install-recovery.sh", is this a file on the HiMedia Q5quad which must edit,
or is this a file that I need to create completely new?
    Where to save file "install-recovery.sh"?

    What is file "RUN_ME.bat"?
    Where to run?

Sorry for my stupid questions. ;(

    Thank you

    Hallo @looun,
did this script run with ISO (DVD-, BD-, 3D BD-) files from NAS?
This script mount net shared folder (with or without password ) to local, like media center ( himedia ).

It's helpful to add folder to kodi(media wrapper limitation ) or play file with other android app, because lot of android app ( video o audio player) work only with local file (internal store , Sdcard, usb ecc ).
    It's work with Q5 3d4k , with HiMedia Q10-II i don't know.
  • Part 2 - fix trouble problems:
    before
you sure have edit only with Notepad++ ?
you sure have edit with Notepad++ in UNIX/OSX Format ?

    after, try this:
    step 1
    - download new AutoMount Multimedia drive.google.com/open?id=0Bx63o79bMC7lR2JHYS12Yk0tWVk
    - unzip AutoMount Multimedia

    step 2
    - power on himedia q5
    - open media center (himedia)
    - add 4 shortcut with for your nas
    - open all 4 shortcut, it's open? or have problem?

    step 3
    - go to pc
    - run(double click) "check_mount.bat"
This script show only the folder mount by Q5, media center (himedia) mount shader folder into /mnt/smb/mountpoint_01, /mnt/smb/mountpoint_02....

    step 4
    - check difference between CMD windows end your install-recovery.sh
maybe you need add some other "paramter" like:relatime, nounix, ecc

    step 5
    - edit install-recovery.sh with right parameter( must be separate by comma )

    step 6

    - now run(double click) file RUN_ME.bat

    3. mkdir -p /sdcard/SERIEN
    4. mount -t cifs -o user="AAAA",password="BBBB",iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,sec=ntlmsspi,cache=loose,serverino,uid=1001,forceuid,gid=1001,forcegid,nounix //192.168.178.41/SERIEN /mnt/sdcard/SERIEN
    5. mkdir -p /sdcard/FILME
    6. mount -t cifs -o user="AAAA",password="BBBB",iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,sec=ntlmsspi,cache=loose,serverino,uid=1001,forceuid,gid=1001,forcegid,nounix //192.168.178.41/FILME /mnt/sdcard/FILME

    BBBB with password, Es: 1234

    and cross fingers..

  • Hi @looun

Mounting the files was successful!

It is important, in the script, always a one blank space to the end of the line endings. :!:
And a one blank space as the last line. :!:

Without root I could not try now, because I have installed @moere22 CWF 1.0.9.1.
I try it without root, in the next firmware update.

It really is an easy way, without autostart, without Bussybox, without CIFS-Manager (Scriptmanager), without ES-Explorer!

    Very good! :D

    Thank you @looun

    Best regards

Please ask@Lony, whether you file in the filebase comes?

    @Lony

    4. Im Ordner dann die RUN-ME.bat starten

    5. Es öffnet sich ein DOS-Fenster, in Deutsch. ZumStart eine beliebige Taste drücken.

    6. IP-Adresse vom HiMedia eingeben

    7. Einstellungen werden auf den Hi Mediaübertragen.

    8. Meldung Reboot vom HiMedia wird angezeigt. DerHiMedia bootet automatisch. Das DOS-Fenster kann geschlossen werden.

    9. Nach dem Reboot sind unter mnt\sdcard die neuen Ordnerangelegt und die Filme werden angezeigt.

    10. In Kodi, unter externen Speicher, zu den neuenOrdner navigieren und als datenquelle verknüpfen.

    Fertig
